BURIAL
Minneapolis Jewish Cemetery provides Jewish burial for any person of the Jewish faith or converts to Judaism. A dedicated section is available to accommodate non-Jewish (interfaith) and cremated remains burial. Scattering of cremated remains is NOT allowed anywhere in the cemetery. If evidence of same is found, the cemetery will pursue corrective action and seek damages from anyone found responsible for such action. Please DO NOT bury or scatter ashes anywhere in the cemetery.
PERPETUAL CARE
Perpetual care is general upkeep and maintenance of cemetery grounds. Regular perpetual care DOES NOT include maintenance to monuments or markers. For environmental reasons, the cemetery does not utilize an in-ground sprinkler system. Depending on natural rainfall, some recently dug grave sites may take up to 3-5 years to fully establish fully green turf. Periods of drought may complicate or delay this process.
Memorials brought into the cemetery are the responsibility of the memorial purchaser, family or next of kin. Cemetery is not responsible for damage to memorials. Depending on the quality and depth of concrete monument foundation work when first installed, over time some monuments may lean or fall over. In which case a new foundation or re-setting may be required. Markers may settle and become covered over with grass and may not be fully visible unless re-set. Contact Michael J. Morris, LLC 612-998-0077 or Yehuda Polter 347-831-3824 to discuss your memorial concern. (independent contractors).
