Rules and Regulations
- Lot purchases (grants of burial) are limited to persons of the Jewish faith, converts to Judaism, non-Jewish or interfaith burial within certain dedicated areas of the cemetery. All lot purchases shall have specific names assigned to the lot. Any lot purchase in excess of eight lots shall require approval of the Board of Trustees. Terms and conditions of lot sales shall be per the Grant of Burial Agreement. Sale of grants of burial may be accepted or rejected at the Board’s discretion for any reason.
- Artificial flowers or wreaths are not permitted at any time during the year. Natural cut flowers are permitted throughout the year.
- In-ground flower planting is permitted within a 14” arc of a monument. Planting must be behind commercial grade plastic garden edging. No brick or fence edging. No decorative plastic fencing material. No trees or shrubs. All will be removed without notice.
- Unattended or overgrown plantings and shrubbery will be removed without notice.
- No glass vases or pots, shepherd hooks, plastic, pottery, balloons, pinwheels, statues, potted plants or other lose items may be left at the grave. Same may not be dug into the ground. These will be removed without notice. The cemetery is not responsible for such items. If such items are set on monuments and fall on to the grass, they will be removed.
- Plant stands are permitted but must not obstruct grass cutting or grounds maintenance. Keep plant stands close to a monument base and not out in an aisle. Cemetery is not responsible for such items.
- Dogs are not permitted on grave site areas (except for personal service dogs). Dog walking is permitted only on paved interior road. Please keep your dog leashed, and of course, pick up after them.
- Cremation burial or scattering of ashes is not permitted, except in the Interfaith burial area.
- Interfaith burial is permitted only in the designated Interfaith burial area.
- All burials require a grave liner or vault.
- Monuments, markers, and benches are permitted. All cemetery fees must be paid in full prior to a memorial being brought into the cemetery.
- All monument, markers and benches require a cement foundation. The cost of a foundation is included with burial fees (per rule beginning January 1, 2014). Foundations are installed by cemetery approved contractors only.
